Tax Authority Advances Work Grant Payments for Holiday Season
The Israel Tax Authority has announced an early disbursement of the second installment of the Work Grant for the 2025 eligibility year. Originally scheduled for October 15, 2026, the payment will now be deposited directly into recipients' bank accounts on Wednesday, September 9, 2026. This acceleration is intended to help hundreds of thousands of eligible employees and self-employed individuals cover expenses related to the upcoming High Holidays.
The Work Grant is available to those who meet specific legal criteria, including individuals aged 21 and over who are parents, and those aged 55 and over, regardless of parental status. Payments are issued in installments based on application dates.
Additionally, since 2024, an extra grant has been provided for parents of toddlers up to age three. The Tax Authority also noted that employed women born after January 1, 1960, who are over 60 and meet legal requirements, can apply for an advance on their 2026 Work Grant.
Individuals can still apply for the 2024 Work Grant online until December 31, 2026.
