Israeli AI Firm Wondrful Raises $550 Million at $5 Billion Valuation
Israeli AI company Wondrful has secured $550 million in funding at a valuation of $5 billion, according to Globes. The funding round was led by Insight Partners, with participation from Salesforce's venture capital arm and existing investors including Bessemer, Index Ventures, and IVP.
Wondrful, based in Tel Aviv, specializes in providing AI agents that help non-English speaking organizations implement artificial intelligence solutions. The company has experienced rapid growth, driven by sales of its AI agents designed for various business functions such as customer service, sales management, finance, and administration.
Initially focused on voice-based AI agents, Wondrful has expanded its offerings to include broader enterprise AI agents and services. The company assists clients in integrating its AI products, thereby increasing sales and expanding its product portfolio. CEO Bar Winkler stated in June that the demand shifted from purely voice agents to chat agents and AI integrated across multiple business systems.
Since its last funding round in March 2026, Wondrful has expanded to over 35 markets globally and employs approximately 650 people, with half based in Israel. The company has significantly enhanced its AI operating system platform for enterprise use, enabling end-to-end workflow automation. Wondrful's growth strategy includes a "front-end deployment" model, offering local implementation support through representatives to accelerate AI adoption.
Winkler believes that AI operating systems will become foundational for future organizations, similar to how cloud platforms became essential for modern businesses. He noted that successful AI implementation in one business area often leads to expansion across the entire organization. The current funding will support more organizations in adapting to this future.
Wondrful competes with major players like Sierra, Salesforce, and Zendesk, but has shown significant growth in markets outside the U.S., including Israel, Poland, Brazil, Singapore, and India. The company's workforce has grown from about 90 employees a year ago to around 630. Its annual revenue run rate has also increased substantially, from $1 million in August of last year to $18 million in the first quarter of this year, with projections to reach tens of millions, and potentially $100 million, by year-end.
Wondrful was founded by Bar Winkler and Roi Lazar and had previously raised approximately $290 million. In Israel, the company works with clients such as Bank Hapoalim, Bank Discount, Maccabi Health Services, Bezeq, Pazgas, Menora Mivtachim, and Libera.
