Netanyahu Praises Joint Operation Capturing Senior Hamas Security Chief

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced on Tuesday the capture of a senior Hamas official responsible for internal security, hailing the operation as a "daring action" by the Shin Bet and the IDF. The individual, described as one of Hamas's most senior leaders, was apprehended near his home in Gaza.

According to Netanyahu, the captured official played a crucial role in concealing and transporting Israeli hostages, hiding other Hamas leaders, and rebuilding the terrorist organization's military capabilities. He was reportedly involved in recent efforts to restore Hamas's governance in Gaza, deceive on the issue of disarming the Strip, and facilitate terror attacks against Israeli forces and civilians.

"My directive is clear: the State of Israel will continue to pursue all Hamas leaders and all those who took part in the October 7 massacre," Netanyahu stated, emphasizing Israel's ongoing commitment to targeting those involved in the attacks.
