Israel Braces for Heatwave with Extreme Heat Expected in Key Areas

Israel is set to experience a significant increase in temperatures and heat stress starting today, following the dissipation of morning clouds. The heat is expected to be particularly intense in the southern Golan Heights, Kinneret Basin, Dead Sea coast, Jordan Valley, and the Arava desert, where extreme heat load is forecast.

Areas including the north, Carmel, Menashe Hills, coastal plain, Shefela, central mountains, Negev, and Judean Desert will face heavy heat load. The weather is expected to be partly cloudy overnight.

Temperatures are predicted to reach highs of 32°C in Jerusalem and Safed, 31°C in Tel Aviv and Haifa, 37°C in Katzrin, 38°C in Tiberias and Ein Gedi, 35°C in Nazareth, 36°C in Afula, 40°C in Beit She'an, 32°C in Lod and Ashdod, 34°C in Beersheba, 33°C in Mitzpe Ramon, and 39°C in Eilat.
