Michal Hakatan Reveals Custody Arrangement With Ex-Husband

Children's entertainer Michal Hakatan, 43, has disclosed details about her custody arrangement with her ex-husband and the father of her six children, Nir Weizman. Less than two weeks after her recent breakup with Yehuda Buchbut, Hakatan revealed that her children live with her 24/7 and that their father sees them for only four hours per week. This information was shared during an Instagram Q&A session where she also reflected on her life post-divorce.

Responding to a question about what she would tell herself before her divorce, Hakatan wrote a message of encouragement, advising her past self not to be afraid and to recognize her inner strength. She acknowledged that there would be moments of uncertainty and hardship, but emphasized that she would learn to rely on herself and her faith. Hakatan expressed confidence in her ability to raise six children with love, manage work, provide for her family, and maintain a home, stating that each chapter of her life has brought her new strength.

When asked how she manages everything on her own, Hakatan admitted that it is not a normal situation and not the life she envisioned. She described raising six children, with the responsibility, livelihood, and household all resting on her shoulders, as a journey requiring immense strength. Hakatan stated that she chooses not to dwell on 'why' but rather focuses on ensuring her children have everything they need. She affirmed that being a mother is her life's purpose and that while she may not have chosen this path, she actively chooses how to navigate it each day.

Hakatan and Weizman were together for over 25 years, married for 16, and share six children: Yuli, Leo, twins Rif and Ray, Eli, and Naya.
