Israel's Weather Warms Up After Disappointing Weekend Rains

Following a turbulent weekend where anticipated significant rainfall in Israel largely failed to materialize, the weather is gradually returning to more summery conditions starting Monday. The Meteorological Service forecasts partly cloudy skies, with a chance of morning drizzle along the coastal plain. Temperatures are expected to rise. While some local showers occurred in northern and central Israel over the weekend, the amounts were far less than predicted. The heaviest rainfall measured only a few millimeters, as the weather system primarily affected areas north of Israel, particularly Syria and Lebanon. Despite the minimal rain, the system brought strong winds and high seas to Israel. With the system's departure, a warming trend is now expected. Heatwaves are also anticipated in various regions, including the valleys, Jordan Valley, Dead Sea area, and the Arava desert. This warming trend is projected to continue throughout the week, with temperatures rising further on Tuesday, bringing more typical summer weather across most of the country. Expected temperatures include Jerusalem: 19-29°C, Tel Aviv: 26-31°C, Haifa: 24-31°C, Kiryat Shmona: 22-35°C, Safed: 19-30°C, Tiberias: 23-35°C, Ashdod: 25-32°C, Beersheba: 22-33°C, Mitzpe Ramon: 19-31°C, and Eilat: 26-38°C.
