IDF Kills Hamas Nukhba Commander Involved in October 7th Attack

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced Sunday that it eliminated Abd al-Fatah Abu al-Aish, a commander in Hamas's Nukhba force, in an airstrike in the Jabalia area of northern Gaza. Abu al-Aish had participated in the October 7th massacre, infiltrating Israeli territory. The strike, which occurred Saturday, was carried out after intelligence indicated Abu al-Aish had recently been advancing terror plans against IDF forces and Israeli civilians, and working to restore Hamas's capabilities.

Also killed in the same strike was another Hamas operative, Ra'id Adel Muhammad Alian, who was involved in advancing immediate terror plans. The IDF stated that both operatives systematically violated the ceasefire. The strike aimed to neutralize the threat they posed to military forces and Israeli civilians.

The IDF confirmed that Abu al-Aish belonged to the Nukhba force and was part of the October 7th raid into Israel. After re-engaging in terror activities and working to rebuild the organization's capabilities in Gaza, he was targeted in a precise strike in the northern Strip.

IDF forces in the Southern Command remain deployed in the area according to the agreement, and the military stated they will continue to act against any threats identified.
