Hapoel Be'er Sheva Seeks to Sign Defender Idan Nachmias Before Europa League Deadline
Hapoel Be'er Sheva is actively pursuing the signing of Israeli defender Idan Nachmias from Bulgarian club Ludogorets. The club aims to complete the transfer by Wednesday, the registration deadline for the Europa League group stage, following their recent 2-1 victory over Hapoel Ramat Gan. Nachmias, 29, is currently under contract with Ludogorets for two more years, earning 400,000 euros annually. He previously left Maccabi Tel Aviv in August 2025 after his contract ended to join Ludogorets.
Standing 1.90 meters tall, Nachmias has made 18 appearances for the Israeli national team. His career includes playing for Ironi Kiryat Shmona from 2017 to 2021 and Maccabi Tel Aviv from 2021 to 2025. Last season, he featured in 27 matches for Ludogorets across all competitions. Although he played full matches in the first two league rounds this season, he has not appeared in the last three rounds.
Hapoel Be'er Sheva, having secured their place in the Europa League group stage, is keen to strengthen their central defense quickly to meet the upcoming deadline and enhance their squad for the continental competition.
