The rain is expected to be weaker and more localized than initially forecast, mainly affecting the western and upper Galilee and the Golan Heights, with some risk of flooding in certain areas. Strong winds reaching up to 70 km/h are already being felt, causing visibility restrictions from Modiin to the Negev due to haze. Visitors at the Sea of Galilee were warned about sudden gusts, the risk of drifting into deeper water, and flying debris.

The storm has already caused damage in Lebanon and Cyprus, where fallen trees, blocked roads, power outages, and greenhouse damage were reported. Israeli travelers on a Blue Bird flight from Larnaca to Israel described the plane shaking violently during takeoff and landing, causing significant fear among passengers. The airline confirmed that safety protocols were strictly followed and no danger was posed to passengers.

The localized rain is expected to continue until midday tomorrow, mainly in the north, with possible light drizzle on Monday morning.
