Former Hamas Captive Elkana Buchbut and Wife Welcome Baby Daughter

Elkana Buchbut, who was held captive by Hamas for 738 days before his release in October last year, and his wife Rivka have welcomed their newborn daughter. The baby girl is a younger sister to their firstborn son, Ram. Buchbut shared a heartfelt biblical psalm of thanksgiving following the birth, expressing gratitude and joy.

Buchbut, known as one of the producers of the Nova party, endured a difficult captivity period that deeply affected him and his family. Throughout his ordeal, his wife Rivka and mother Ruhama tirelessly advocated for his release. The couple announced Rivka's pregnancy in April, with Rivka reflecting on their ongoing journey and the strength of their love despite the challenges they faced.

Just weeks before the birth, Rivka wrote about the courage and resilience their relationship embodies after enduring fear, absence, and uncertainty. She emphasized the importance of having time to rebuild, heal, and rediscover themselves. The birth marks a significant milestone in their recovery and new chapter as a family.
