Israeli Man in His 60s Goes Missing After Crossing From Nepal to Tibet Amid Floods
An Israeli man in his 60s has been reported missing following severe flooding in Tibet. He crossed the border from Nepal yesterday as part of an organized group, but contact with him was lost shortly thereafter. Chabad emissary in Nepal, Hezki Lifshitz, noted that there are very few Israelis currently in Nepal. While some young Israelis have gone trekking and have not yet been reached, Lifshitz expressed no concern for them as they were not in the flooded areas. The search and monitoring efforts continue as authorities try to locate the missing individual.
