Maccabi Tel Aviv Set to Receive €600,000 from Giyagon's Transfer to Saudi Club
Maccabi Tel Aviv is expected to earn approximately 600,000 euros from the transfer of former player Parfait Giyagon to Al-Taawon in Saudi Arabia. Giyagon moved from Belgian club Charleroi to Al-Taawon for a reported fee of 5 million dollars. Maccabi Tel Aviv holds a 20% sell-on clause from Giyagon's future transfers, which will yield them about 560,000 euros, in addition to 43,000 euros from solidarity payments.
Giyagon played for Maccabi Tel Aviv between 2020 and 2023, scoring four goals in 35 appearances. Charleroi will receive 20% from any future sale of the player and an additional 900,000 dollars in bonuses, which are not included in the transfer fee. Additionally, Maccabi Netanya is expected to receive a smaller amount of 22,000 dollars due to a loan arrangement related to the player.
