Maccabi Tel Aviv Set to Receive €583,000 from Giyagon's Transfer to Saudi Club
Maccabi Tel Aviv is poised to earn approximately €583,000 following the transfer of former player Parfait Giyagon from Charleroi to Al Taawon in Saudi Arabia. The transfer fee paid by Al Taawon to Charleroi is reported to be €4.3 million, potentially rising to around €5 million with bonuses. Maccabi Tel Aviv will receive €540,000 from their 20% stake in any future sale of Giyagon, along with an additional €43,000 in solidarity payments. Giyagon played for Maccabi Tel Aviv between 2020 and 2023, scoring four goals in 35 appearances. Charleroi retains a 20% share in any future transfer fees and will receive €900,000 in bonuses, which are not included in the current calculations. Additionally, Maccabi Netanya is expected to gain a smaller amount, approximately €22,000, due to a loan arrangement related to the player.
