Maccabi Tel Aviv Agrees to Kairat's 200,000 Euro Demand for Dan Glazer Transfer
Maccabi Tel Aviv has accepted the 200,000 euro transfer fee demanded by Kazakhstan's Kairat for midfielder Dan Glazer, clearing the way for his return to the Israeli club for the 2026/27 season. The fee is for releasing Glazer from his contract, a sum that Maccabi Netanya is also reportedly willing to meet. Glazer, who was previously close to signing with Beitar Jerusalem, is now moving closer to rejoining Maccabi Tel Aviv after nearly a week of Kairat withholding a price for his release.
The Israeli club plans to sign Glazer on a two-year contract with an option for a third year, offering him a net salary of approximately 300,000 euros. The decision to pursue Glazer came last week after Maccabi Tel Aviv's sporting director, Steven Vanharan, recognized Glazer's potential to add aggression and toughness to the midfield. With ambitions for a long season and European competition, the club sees Glazer as a key addition alongside their defensive midfielders.
Glazer has communicated to Maccabi Tel Aviv that he needs a little more time to finalize his decision among interested clubs, but he is expected to choose his childhood team and return to Maccabi Tel Aviv.
