Maccabi Tel Aviv pushes to bring Dan Glazer back with a two-year deal
Maccabi Tel Aviv is making a strong push to sign Dan Glazer, while Beitar Jerusalem is also negotiating with the midfielder. The Israeli Cup holders are prepared to pay compensation to Kazakhstan side Kairat, because Glazer’s contract there runs until December.
According to the report, Maccabi is offering Glazer, who won the club's Player of the Season award, 250,000 euros per year on a two-year contract with an option for a third season. The club is moving aggressively in part because it expects midfielder Issouf Sissokho could leave.
Beitar Jerusalem has been in talks with Glazer in recent weeks, but Maccabi believes it can still win the race for his signature. The deal would require a payout to Kairat because of the remaining term on his current contract.
