Maccabi Tel Aviv Joins Race to Bring Back Dan Glazer

Maccabi Tel Aviv has entered the race to sign Dan Glazer, who is also being pursued by Beitar Jerusalem and Maccabi Netanya. The move comes as Maccabi Tel Aviv looks to add players with character and leadership, while possible sales or exits in midfield, including Isuf Sissoko, Ben Lederman and Idan Shahar, make a return to Kiryat Shalom realistic.

As of Friday morning, most of the terms between Glazer and Beitar Jerusalem had already been agreed. However, Glazer is still under contract with Kairat until the end of December and has asked to be released, so the deal is not yet final.

Beitar is preparing for the possibility that it will need to pay Kairat compensation of 50,000 to 100,000 euros and is waiting for the Kazakh club’s response. Glazer has already reached a preliminary understanding with Beitar on a two-year contract plus an option for an additional season.

That agreement would reportedly pay him about 270,000 euros per season. If the transfer collapses, Beitar plans to move for Shai Elias instead.
