Maccabi Tel Aviv Earns Nearly €600,000 From Giyagon's Transfer to Al-Taawon
Maccabi Tel Aviv is set to receive approximately 600,000 euros following the transfer of former player Parfait Giyagon from Charleroi to Saudi club Al-Taawon. The transfer deal, valued at 5 million dollars, includes a 20% sell-on clause held by Maccabi Tel Aviv, which accounts for around 560,000 euros of the payment, plus an additional 43,000 euros from solidarity contributions. Giyagon played for Maccabi Tel Aviv between 2020 and 2023, scoring four goals in 35 appearances. Charleroi, his previous club, will receive 20% from any future sale and 900,000 dollars in bonuses, which are not included in the current figures. Additionally, Maccabi Netanya is expected to gain a smaller amount, about 22,000 dollars, due to a loan arrangement related to Giyagon.
