Maccabi Tel Aviv Could Earn Over €16 Million in Summer Transfer Window, Surpassing Barcelona and Roma

Maccabi Tel Aviv is poised for a significant summer transfer window, potentially earning over 16 million euros from the sales of four key players. The club, which recently won the Israeli State Cup, faces possible departures of Said Abu Freha, Roy Revivo, Tyrese Asante, and Helio Varela. Reported transfer fees include 6 million euros for Abu Freha, 3 million euros each for Revivo and Asante, and 4 million euros for Varela, totaling approximately 16.35 million euros including 350,000 euros already received this window.

If all four players are sold at these estimated amounts, Maccabi Tel Aviv would rank 89th among European clubs in transfer income this summer, ahead of major teams such as Red Star Belgrade, Roma, Fiorentina, Rangers, Real Sociedad, Porto, Galatasaray, Werder Bremen, and even Barcelona. This sum also far exceeds the earnings of any other Israeli club this summer, with Maccabi Haifa currently leading Israeli clubs with 5.95 million euros in transfer income.

Excluding the top five European leagues (England, Spain, France, Germany, and Italy), Maccabi Tel Aviv would rank 24th in Europe for player sales revenue. Two key questions remain: whether these transfers will actually take place, and how the club plans to utilize the incoming funds. The club is also expected to strengthen its squad with new signings during this transfer period.
