Israeli Health Ministry Urges Public to Donate Blood Amid National Shortage
The Israeli Ministry of Health has announced a significant decline in the national blood supply, particularly in type O blood units. In response, the Ministry together with Magen David Adom is calling on the public to donate blood at collection centers across the country. Moshe Bar Siman-Tov, Director General of the Ministry of Health, emphasized the need to regularly replenish blood stocks and urged those who have not donated in over three months to do so again. He highlighted that blood donation is a simple act that saves lives and is a vital part of mutual responsibility both in routine times and emergencies.
