The story · English

Amir Hesham Muhammad Titi, a 34-year-old ambulance driver from Bana in northern Israel, has been indicted for conducting espionage activities on behalf of Iranian intelligence. Following a joint investigation by the Shin Bet and the Northern District Police, Titi was arrested and charged in the Haifa District Court. According to the indictment, Titi exploited his access to hospitals to document their routine and emergency operations, including photographing a senior official during a hospital visit in northern Israel. He also reportedly filmed a protest in Haifa, a square in Tel Aviv known as the Hostages' Square, and a settlement in the Sharon region where a senior security figure resided. In exchange for these tasks, Titi received tens of thousands of shekels, transferred through family members' accounts and digital wallets. The Shin Bet and police have warned the public about attempts by hostile entities to recruit Israeli citizens for intelligence missions and urged vigilance. The indictment was submitted by attorney Yehuda Dayan from the Haifa District Prosecutor's Office.
