Israeli Ambulance Driver Arrested for Espionage on Behalf of Iran

Amir Titi, a 34-year-old ambulance driver from Baana in northern Israel, was arrested by the Shin Bet and Israeli police on suspicion of conducting espionage activities for Iranian intelligence agencies. Exploiting his access to hospitals, Titi reportedly transmitted photos and information about hospital preparedness during both routine and emergency situations to his handlers. He also documented a senior figure at a hospital in northern Israel, took photographs at various locations across the country, and gathered intelligence on the residence of a high-ranking security official. Titi received tens of thousands of shekels for his activities, which were funneled through family members' bank accounts and a digital wallet. An indictment has been filed against him in the Haifa District Court.
