Importer Urges Immediate Return of Dangerous Stroller Model G308 in Israel

Yonama Israel, the importer of the Stroller Plus model G308, has issued an urgent recall and requested that all users immediately stop using this stroller. The recall follows safety tests conducted by the Israeli Standards Institute under the supervision of the Ministry of Economy and Industry's Standards Authority, which revealed serious safety defects in the product. The stroller, manufactured by ZhongShan E-V Baby Daily Products Co. Ltd and also sold under the MeiLY+ brand, fails to meet the Israeli Standard 1888 Part 1 for child care products.

Four major safety issues were identified: the absence of a double locking mechanism, which risks the stroller folding unexpectedly during use and potentially causing serious injury or trapping the child; failure to pass stability tests, increasing the risk of tipping over; a footrest opening mechanism with gaps that could trap a child's limbs; and the lack of parking or braking devices when the stroller is in motion. The stroller is also not approved for use as a car safety seat or restraint device.

Yonama Israel is inviting customers to bring the stroller to their warehouse in Givat Shmuel for repairs. This recall is part of the ongoing consumer product safety oversight coordinated with the Ministry of Economy and Industry. Further updates will be provided as they become available.
