Israeli Recall Issued for Infant Rattles Over Choking and Injury Risks

The Israeli Ministry of Economy and Industry announced a recall of the infant toy set "My First Rattles," model WL-00884/321, imported by Elika Toys Ltd. and manufactured by JUN FA in China. The recall follows safety tests by the Israeli Standards Institute revealing that two of the five rattles in the set, shaped like a butterfly and a flower, contain small parts that are not securely attached and could detach during use. These loose parts pose choking and injury hazards, particularly for children under three years old.

The product was sold in Israel between January 26, 2025, and January 1, 2026. Consumers who have purchased the rattles are urged to stop using them immediately and return the product to the point of sale for a full refund. Alternatively, they can contact the importer for a replacement or repair, depending on company policy. The Ministry emphasized the importance of adhering to the recall to prevent potential harm to young children.
