Immediate Recall Issued for Insecure In-14 Stroller Plus Posing Infant Injury Risks

The importer "Yonama Israel" has issued an immediate recall for the In-14 Stroller Plus model G308, manufactured by ZhongShan E-V Baby Daily Products Co. Ltd and also sold under the MeiLY+ brand. The recall follows a safety inspection by the Israeli Standards Institute, which found the stroller fails to meet the official Israeli standard 1888 part 1 for child care products, specifically strollers with seating or reclining frames, effective since May 2021.

Key safety issues include the absence of a double locking mechanism, which can cause the stroller to fold unexpectedly, risking injury, entrapment, or falls of the infant. The stroller also failed stability tests, increasing the risk of tipping over. Additionally, the footrest lifting mechanism has openings that could trap body parts, and the stroller lacks parking or braking systems when transporting the child facing forward. It is also not approved for use as a car safety seat.

Owners of this stroller model are urged to stop using it immediately and to bring the product to the importer’s warehouse for repairs. This recall notice is coordinated with the Israeli Standards Authority under the Ministry of Economy and Industry to prevent potential injuries to infants.
