All routes leading to and from the southern city of Eilat are currently blocked to vehicle traffic due to severe flooding. The Arava Junction and the northern entrance and exit to Eilat were closed earlier today following flooding on Highway 90. Highway 12 has also been shut down. Earlier this morning, Highway 40 between Mitzpe Ramon Junction and Ketura Junction, and Highway 13 between Menuha Junction and Tzeh'or Junction, were closed. At this time, all roads into and out of Eilat are impassable in both directions. However, an exception allows for departures from Eilat solely for travel to Ramon Airport. The Israel Police are continuing to provide updates on road conditions and traffic arrangements through various media channels, urging drivers to avoid blocked roads, exercise patience, and follow police instructions.
