The Brooklyn Nets announced Monday that they have transferred Israeli guard Ben Sharf, along with Drake Powell and Joshua Jefferson, to their NBA G League affiliate, the Long Island Nets. The move comes after a difficult start to the season for the Nets, who have lost their first three games. In their latest loss, a 136-109 defeat to the Indiana Pacers, the 20-year-old Sharf made his season debut, playing four minutes and scoring two points with one rebound. Powell also saw four minutes of action, while Jefferson made his NBA debut in the same game. All three players will now join the Long Island Nets to gain more playing time and continue their development. This is not the first time Sharf has moved between the Nets and their G League team; he made similar transitions last season to gain competitive experience. The current assignment does not necessarily signify a permanent change in his status, as the Nets can recall him to the main roster later.
