Israeli Lawyer Charged With Contacting Foreign Agent, Obstructing Justice

The State Prosecutor's Office has filed an indictment against an Israeli lawyer, accusing her of contacting a foreign agent and obstructing legal proceedings. The indictment was filed with the Central District Court, which also received a request to detain the lawyer until the conclusion of legal proceedings against her. The court granted security agencies' request to release a paraphrased version of the security case details. According to the prosecution's statement, investigation findings indicate the lawyer allegedly communicated with a foreign agent in violation of the law and obstructed investigative procedures. The lawyer was arrested for investigation approximately two and a half weeks ago by the Shin Bet and Israel Police on suspicion of committing security offenses. Following the completion of the investigation, the Central District Prosecutor's Office decided to file the indictment.
