משטרת ישראל עצרה תושב יפיע בן 29 בחשד למעורבות ברצח הכפול של חאלד ומג'ד מחאג'נה, אב ובנו תושבי יפיע, שנורו למוות בנצרת בערב ה-20 בדצמבר 2025. המעצר בוצע הבוקר (27 בספטמבר) לאחר חקירה סמויה ממושכת, במהלכה פשטו כוחות ימ"ר צפון ומג"ב על ביתו של החשוד. בית משפט השלום בנוף הגליל-נצרת האריך את מעצרו עד 1 באוקטובר, והחקירה נמשכת.
