צה"ל הודיע כי לוחמי סיירת גולני חיסלו מחבל של חיזבאללה בהיתקלות פנים מול פנים במרחב הבופור שבדרום לבנון. המחבל ירה לעבר הכוחות במהלך סריקות שביצעו במקום, והלוחמים השיבו אש וחיסלו אותו. במהלך ההיתקלות נפצעו שני לוחמי צה"ל באורח קל ופונו לבית חולים, ומשפחותיהם עודכנו. בתגובה לאירוע, צה"ל ירה פגזים לעבר האזור בו הסתתר המחבל, וכן תקף מחסני לחימה, מפקדות ותשתיות טרור נוספות של חיזבאללה במרחב. דובר צה"ל הדגיש כי צה"ל לא יאפשר לחיזבאללה לפגוע באזרחי ישראל ובכוחותיו, וימשיך לפעול להסרת איומים תוך שמירה על הסכם הפסקת האש.
