Israeli Soldiers Kill Hezbollah Terrorist in Southern Lebanon Clash
The Israeli military (IDF) reported that its soldiers killed a Hezbollah terrorist during a close-quarters engagement in the Bofor area of southern Lebanon on Monday. The incident occurred when a terrorist, located inside a building, opened fire on troops from the Golani Brigade's special reconnaissance unit, 'Sayeret Golani,' during a sweep of the area. IDF soldiers immediately returned fire, neutralizing the operative.
During the firefight, two IDF soldiers sustained light injuries and were evacuated to a hospital for medical treatment. Their families have been notified.
Following the engagement, the IDF conducted artillery strikes on the terrorist's hideout. Additional strikes targeted Hezbollah weapons depots, command posts, and other elements of the group's infrastructure in the vicinity.
