Teen Arrested for Cruelty to Kitten in Jerusalem's Old City
A 15-year-old resident of Jerusalem was arrested over the weekend on suspicion of assaulting and kicking a kitten in the Old City. The incident occurred near the Lions' Gate, on Bab al-Khuta Street.
Surveillance operators from the "Mabat 2000" control center identified the act and alerted police. Officers from the David precinct and Border Police forces, assisted by the surveillance team, located and apprehended the suspect.
Following his arrest, the teenager was taken for questioning. Subsequently, he was brought before the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court, which ordered his release to house arrest. The case file has been transferred to the police's prosecution unit for review of further proceedings.
