Boaz Golan Urges Ofer Winter to Clarify Coalition Stance Amid Political Uncertainty

Boaz Golan, host of the Open Studio program, publicly called on Ofer Winter, leader of the newly launched Amcha Israel party, to clarify his position on potential coalition partners ahead of the upcoming Israeli elections. While Golan praised Winter as the most trustworthy figure in Israeli politics, he expressed concern over Winter's refusal to specify with whom he would refuse to form a government. Golan emphasized that this lack of clarity raises suspicions, particularly regarding possible alliances with Avigdor Lieberman, Naftali Bennett, and Gadi Eisenkot. He stated, "If he does not answer, it is a problem," underscoring the importance of transparency for right-wing media and voters.

Golan acknowledged his personal trust in Winter, noting that soldiers and former subordinates respect him deeply. However, he criticized some members of Winter's party for being unable to collaborate effectively with others, which complicates coalition negotiations. Golan also confirmed his belief that Winter would not partner with Eisenkot but remained uncertain about other figures. He attributed Winter's hesitation to a lack of political experience, saying, "Ofer Winter does not know what politics is."

The Amcha Israel party was officially launched the previous evening, presenting a diverse list of candidates including Yosef Hadad, David Ben Zion, Natali Shem Tov, Fler Hassan-Nahum, Leli Deri, Eli Gino, Eran Ben-Ari, Aviv Ezra, Sigal Kraunik-Atia, and Ronen Bodenro. Golan's comments highlight ongoing debates within the right-wing political sphere about coalition possibilities and the need for clear commitments from emerging political leaders like Winter.
