Man Charged With Murder of Lawyer Arbel Feldman in Rishon Lezion Over Financial Dispute

The State Prosecutor's Office has filed a murder indictment against 24-year-old Ahmad Al-Rajoub from Ramla for the intentional killing of lawyer Arbel Feldman in Rishon Lezion, motivated by a financial dispute. The indictment, submitted to the Central District Court in Lod by attorney Sara Tal, states that Al-Rajoub was dissatisfied with the progress of a claim for 18,000 shekels against an insurance company related to a car accident.

On August 4, Al-Rajoub armed himself with a loaded semi-automatic pistol and went to Feldman's office in central Rishon Lezion. Security footage shows him shooting Feldman six times at close range, hitting his upper body, head, and hand. After the shooting, Al-Rajoub fled the scene, discarded his phone and the weapon to obstruct justice, and later surrendered at the Ashdod police station, confessing to the murder for financial reasons.

The prosecution also charged Al-Rajoub with illegal possession of a weapon and ammunition, evidence destruction, and obstruction of justice. Feldman's defense attorney was Oren Sasson. Prosecutors requested continued detention until the end of legal proceedings, citing Al-Rajoub's ruthless behavior and disregard for the law. Attorney Tal emphasized that attacking a lawyer performing his duties crosses a red line, severely harming the victim, his family, and public interest in protecting legal professionals from harm.
