Sabah Owner Triples Bonus for Players Ahead of Crucial Champions League Match Against Hapoel Be'er Sheva

Ahead of Sabah's second-leg Champions League qualifier against Hapoel Be'er Sheva on August 25, 2026, club owner Magsud Adigozalov has significantly increased the financial incentives for his players. Initially promising each player $30,000 before the first leg, Adigozalov has now raised the bonus to $100,000 per player if the team advances, totaling approximately $2.5 million. This amount represents about 13% of the total prize money Sabah would receive upon qualification.

Previously, after the third qualifying round, players received around 60,000 Azerbaijani manats (about $35,000) each, making the new bonus nearly 2.8 times larger. Sabah is expected to make one lineup change for the match, with Ksenander Sabrina moving to the bench. The game will be held in a larger stadium in Azerbaijan with a capacity of 31,000, where tickets were sold for just one manat (approximately 1.7 Israeli shekels).
