Sabah Owner Promises $100,000 Bonus Per Player If Team Advances Against Hapoel Be'er Sheva

Sabah football club owner, Meqsud Adigozalov, has significantly increased the bonus promised to players ahead of their UEFA Champions League second-leg match against Hapoel Be'er Sheva. The Azerbaijani club will award each player $100,000 if they advance, totaling approximately $2.5 million, which is about 13% of the prize money the club would receive upon qualification. This new bonus is a substantial rise from the $30,000 per player promised before the first leg and the roughly $35,000 each player received after the third qualifying round.

Ahead of the match scheduled for Tuesday, Sabah is expected to make one change to their lineup, with Ksenander Sabrina moving to the bench. The game will be held in a large stadium in Azerbaijan with a capacity of 31,000 seats. Tickets were sold for just one Azerbaijani manat (about 1.7 Israeli shekels), indicating strong local support for the match. This fixture is crucial as Sabah aims to secure a place in the Champions League group stage by overcoming Hapoel Be'er Sheva.
