Druze in Southern Syria Hold Convoy Showing Support for Israel
In the As-Suwayda region of southern Syria, Druze residents organized a convoy displaying numerous Israeli flags to express their gratitude to Israel. This demonstration was intended to thank Israel for its support against forces loyal to Syrian President Ahmad al-Shara, who were responsible for massacring Druze people in July of the previous year. Hekmat al-Hajri, the spiritual leader of the Druze community in the area, stated, "We are an inseparable part of Israel, historically as well."
