Hezbollah Welcomes Iran-U.S. Deal That Brought Ceasefire to Lebanon

Hezbollah issued an official statement praising Iran, its leaders and its people for what it called a major achievement: reaching understandings with the United States that led to a comprehensive ceasefire on all fronts, including in Lebanon.

In the statement, the terror organization described the Islamic Republic as a strong and loyal ally and supporter. It also said the agreement is only a preliminary step toward what it called the completion of the liberation of its land.

Hezbollah warned that “the resistance will not accept any aggression that violates its sovereignty.” It said this stage requires the Lebanese government and all political forces to return to a united national position, and called for a reassessment of all calculations and approaches taken so far.
