Lior Gliklich Signs With Austrian Club Wolfsberger for €130,000
Israeli goalkeeper Lior Gliklich has officially transferred from Maccabi Bnei Reineh to Austrian Bundesliga club Wolfsberger AC for a reported fee of 130,000 euros. Gliklich, who played last season with Bnei Reineh in Israel's top division before their relegation to the National League, is set to pursue new opportunities abroad.
To fill the goalkeeper position at Bnei Reineh, the club signed Roy Sasson, who recently joined from Hapoel Petah Tikva on loan from Beitar Jerusalem. Sasson will take over as the starting goalkeeper, receiving support from teammate Omer Peretz.
Gliklich developed through Hapoel Tel Aviv's youth system and had loan spells at Hapoel Rishon LeZion and Hapoel Petah Tikva before signing with Bnei Reineh last summer. His move to Wolfsberger marks his first venture into European football, aiming to advance his career internationally.
