Lior Gliklich Signs With Austrian Club Wolfsberger for €130,000
Israeli goalkeeper Lior Gliklich has officially transferred from Maccabi Bnei Reineh to Austrian Bundesliga club Wolfsberger AC for a reported fee of 130,000 euros. Gliklich, who played last season with Bnei Reineh in the Israeli Premier League before their relegation to the National League, is set to embark on a new chapter abroad.
To fill the goalkeeper position at Bnei Reineh, the club signed Roy Sasson, who recently secured a contract after being loaned from Beitar Jerusalem to Hapoel Petah Tikva earlier this summer. Sasson will have the opportunity to be the starting goalkeeper, with the blessing of goalkeeper Omer Peretz.
Gliklich developed through the youth system of Hapoel Tel Aviv and had loan spells at Hapoel Rishon LeZion and Hapoel Petah Tikva before joining Bnei Reineh last summer. His move to Wolfsberger marks his first professional contract outside Israel, aiming to advance his career in European football.
