Reality Star Maayan Ashkenazi Attacked by City Worker in Herzliya, Suspects Anti-Semitic Motive

Reality TV star and fitness coach Maayan Ashkenazi was attacked by a street cleaning worker in Herzliya while waiting at a traffic light. Ashkenazi described the incident in emotional Instagram stories, saying the worker sprayed her face with a high-pressure water hose, causing her to fear the attack was intentionally hostile because she is Jewish. She said, "I thought maybe it was a targeted, hostile act against me because I am Jewish," and added she has been trembling since the event.

Ashkenazi explained that initially she thought the worker was cleaning her car windshield or joking, but then the worker deliberately aimed the hose at her face for several seconds before walking away with a threatening look. She called the Herzliya municipality to report the incident, and the worker's supervisor claimed the worker was cleaning the street and accidentally sprayed her car. Ashkenazi rejected this explanation, stating, "Spraying a huge hose in my face on purpose without apologizing is not cleaning my car."

The municipality responded quickly and empathetically, with the mayor personally calling Ashkenazi to discuss the incident.
