Erez Isakov Takes Ownership of Sharon Netanya Football Club, Aims for Promotion

Erez Isakov has officially become the owner of the Sharon Netanya football club, which competes in Liga Gimel, Israel's fifth tier. The acquisition was finalized during the summer break, with Isakov and his family purchasing the club and planning to lead it in the upcoming season toward promotion to Liga Bet, the fourth tier.

Isakov recently met with the team's coach, Shlomi Dahan, and the players at the club's training facility in Netanya. Prior to this, he underwent thorough medical examinations to renew his player registration, as he will also serve as a player alongside his ownership duties. During a team meeting, Isakov emphasized his commitment to the club's success, stating that he did not come "to pass the time" but to position Sharon Netanya as a future prominent club in Israeli football. He praised the previous management by the Atiya family, who will remain involved in the club's operations.

Isakov acknowledged that rival teams will likely try to challenge Sharon Netanya, but he expressed confidence that the team will finish the season undefeated and achieve all set goals. The club also unveiled new jerseys featuring the unique inscription "The Isakovs," symbolizing the new era under Isakov's leadership.

The move marks a significant step for the club, which aims to rise through the Israeli football league system with a blend of experienced leadership and carefully selected players.
