Police to Close Teddy Stadium Light Rail Station for Beitar Jerusalem Matches
The Israel Police have decided to close the Teddy Stadium light rail station during major events, including Beitar Jerusalem football matches, due to security and safety concerns. Although the exact definition of "major events" remains unclear, the large number of season ticket holders, around 20,000, suggests that Beitar Jerusalem games will be classified as such, preventing fans from using the light rail to access the stadium. Consequently, supporters attending these matches will need to find alternative transportation and use nearby stations instead. It is currently unknown whether this restriction will also apply to Hapoel Jerusalem games held at Teddy Stadium.
