Police to Close Teddy Stadium Light Rail Station During Beitar Jerusalem Matches
The Israel Police have decided to close the Teddy Stadium light rail station during major events due to security and safety concerns. Although the exact definition of "major events" has not been clarified, it is expected that Beitar Jerusalem football matches, which attract around 20,000 season ticket holders, will be classified as such and thus the light rail will not stop at the stadium during these games. As a result, fans attending Beitar Jerusalem matches will need to use alternative transportation methods and will be directed to nearby stations instead. It remains unclear whether matches of Hapoel Jerusalem at Teddy Stadium will also be affected by this restriction.
