Refereeing crew set for opening derby of the championship final
The Basketball League has announced the officiating team for the first game of the playoff final series between Maccabi Tel Aviv and Hapoel Tel Aviv. The game will be held Tuesday at 8:50 p.m. at the Menora Mivtachim Arena, and will be shown live on 5SPORT.
According to the league, the referees for the opener are Omer Astron, Amit Balek and Ofir Manheim. The matchup opens a best-of-five final between the two biggest rivals in Israeli basketball.
The full schedule for the series was also released, with all games set for 8:50 p.m. Game 1 is on June 16, with Maccabi Tel Aviv hosting Hapoel Tel Aviv. Game 2 follows on June 18, when Hapoel Tel Aviv hosts.
If necessary, Game 3 will be played on June 21 with Maccabi as host, Game 4 on June 23 with Hapoel at home, and Game 5 on June 25 with Maccabi again hosting.
