Officials named for first Tel Aviv derby in the playoff final
The Basketball Premier League has announced the officiating crew for the opening game of the playoff final series between Maccabi Tel Aviv and Hapoel Tel Aviv. The first meeting in the best-of-five title series is set for Tuesday at 8:50 p.m. and will be played at the Menora Mivtachim Arena, with live coverage on 5SPORT.
According to the league, the referees for Game 1 will be Omer Astron, Amit Balak and Ofir Manheim. The announcement comes as the two city rivals prepare for the first derby in the championship series, with Maccabi designated as the home team for the opener.
The league also published the full final-series schedule, with every game scheduled for 8:50 p.m. Game 2 will be on June 18, Thursday, with Hapoel Tel Aviv hosting. Game 3 is set for June 21, Sunday, with Maccabi hosting again.
If needed, Game 4 will take place on June 23, Tuesday, with Hapoel at home, and Game 5 on June 25, Thursday, with Maccabi hosting. The last two games will only be played if necessary.
