Around 7,300 tickets sold for first Tel Aviv derby final
The championship series between Maccabi Tel Aviv and Hapoel Tel Aviv will begin on Tuesday, in the biggest moment of the Israeli Basketball Premier League season. Maccabi, which has home-court advantage, will host Game 1 and hopes to capitalize on that edge despite its injury problems.
As of one day before tipoff, about 7,300 tickets had been sold. Nearly 3,000 tickets were still available for Maccabi fans, while Hapoel supporters had already bought all 1,000 tickets allocated to them. That means the crowd is expected to be overwhelmingly yellow.
Ticket sales slowed slightly on Sunday because of restrictions tied to Home Front Command instructions. With those limitations now lifted, the expectation is that sales will pick up again before the game.
