Hapoel Tel Aviv and Maccabi Tel Aviv met on Thursday night at Menora Mivtachim Arena for Game 2 of the heated Israeli Basketball Super League final series, following Maccabi’s win in Game 1. The matchup drew 8,252 spectators, almost the same as the 8,278 who attended the series opener.
About 1,000 of those in the arena were Maccabi supporters wearing yellow. The crowd saw a tense opening quarter, with Hapoel surging to a 14-0 run before Maccabi answered with a run of its own.
