Former Footballer Shahar Yini Exits Dancing with the Stars Despite Remarkable Comeback

Shahar Yini, a former football player, and his dance partner Karin Sorochinsky were eliminated from the Israeli reality show "Dancing with the Stars" on August 20, just before the semifinals. Despite their elimination, they had previously earned a second chance through the show's "Save Wheel" segment and managed to advance all the way to the quarterfinals, a feat no other contestant who returned had achieved.

In an interview on the program "Good Evening with Guy Pines," Yini reflected on his journey, describing it as full of ups and downs. He emphasized his competitive mindset, stating, "If I'm not first place, I'm not a winner," but acknowledged the personal growth he experienced, both physically and mentally. He also expressed gratitude for his partner Karin, who took him on an extraordinary journey.

Yini's ten-year-old daughter Ariel supported him throughout the competition and praised his dancing, saying he always gave his best and improved with each performance. The couple's elimination marks the end of their run on the show, which aired on Keshet 12.
