Diego Aroyo, a 21-year-old Bolivian central defender currently with Shakhtar Donetsk, arrived in Israel on Wednesday and is set to officially sign with Hapoel Petah Tikva on Thursday. Standing 1.90 meters tall, Aroyo is valued at approximately 500,000 euros according to Transfermarkt. He joined Shakhtar Donetsk in February 2025 for nearly one million euros, transferring from Bolivar in Bolivia.
Aroyo has made seven appearances for the Bolivian national team but has only played twice in official matches for Shakhtar.
