KKL Bridge Opens West to East Ahead of Schedule, East to West Closure Starts Saturday for Maintenance

The first phase of rehabilitation work on the KKL Bridge has been completed, allowing traffic to flow from west to east earlier than expected, according to Ayalon Highways. The next phase will begin on Saturday night, August 22, at 11:00 PM and continue until Friday, August 28, at 6:00 AM. During this period, the bridge will be closed to traffic traveling from east to west. Additionally, left turns will be prohibited when exiting from Ayalon North to the KKL Bridge and for vehicles coming from the east wishing to turn left onto Ayalon South. These restrictions are part of comprehensive maintenance and rehabilitation efforts, including the replacement of expansion joints on the bridge. Despite the closures, Ayalon Highway (Route 20) will remain open for traffic throughout the maintenance work.
